Exclusive photographs by Frank Bennett – part of the proceeds will benefit HFAS!

June 29, 2016 Help for a Smile

Photographer Frank Bennett has designed four images specifically for Help for a Smile e.V., which are available exclusively as a limited edition under the title ‘Africa’. We are delighted about this, as 24% and 31% of the proceeds, respectively, will benefit Help for a Smile e.V.

With the donations generated through this campaign, we aim to contribute to the furnishing of the house in Mbale. For example, tables, chairs, and wardrobes for the children are still needed, which we would then be able to fund. We will, of course, keep you informed about the results and the implementation.

The photographs, along with information on production, dimensions, and prices, can be found at https://www.benn-design.de/index.php?route=product/category&path=48 as well as in the attached PDF.

All images are printed on canvas and stretched over a 2 cm thick gallery wrap frame. The motif wraps around the edge—meaning the edges are mirrored so that no white border is visible on the sides (note: “Africa #3” has a white border within the image and therefore also on the edges). One of each item is also on display at Frank Bennett’s gallery in Lübeck. As a special service, the photographer offers to personally deliver the pictures to interested parties (within the Hamburg/Lübeck area). Furthermore, he grants a 14-day right of return should the image, contrary to expectations, not be to your liking. This allows you to decide on a piece on-site, risk-free, and within your own home.

Frank Bennett on the individual images: “My ambition is to offer photographs for sale that are not ‘run-of-the-mill.’ Instead, I try to create small works of art with my photography that people enjoy hanging in their homes, offices, or practices. The ‘Baumseelen’ (Tree Souls) series holds a special significance. Here, I have photographed the cross-sections of felled trees and post-processed the colors to make the beautiful motifs and stories visible that are hidden within a tree so carelessly cut down. The great success of this series is based on the wonderful patterns that nature reveals to us. This radiance is what makes the images so appealing and serves as a constant reminder of our responsibility toward nature. The images designed exclusively for the association Help for a Smile e.V. were also created from the cross-sections of felled trees.”

Therefore—buy the photographs and please be sure to recommend this campaign to others! Thank you!

We hope you enjoy viewing, browsing, choosing, buying, and spreading the word! Bettina, Anette, Thomas, and Ines
