Our Charly books are a wonderful gift idea for Christmas!

These children’s books introduce kids in Germany to the lives of children in Africa in a playful, cheerful, and educational way.

In Part I, little stork Charly sets off for Africa in the autumn and lands on the thatched roof of a hut in Mbale, Uganda, in East Africa. There, our children discover him, and Charly spends a whole day with them. In Part II, Charly visits Stork Favour, Amon, and all the other children in Uganda. His friend Luna Langbein joins him on his journey. Together they meet new friends, learn how to make their own footballs and skipping ropes, and discover Uganda’s wildlife.

The children’s books, which support our project in Uganda, include photos and illustrations of the local children and young people and are suitable for children between the ages of four and eight. There is also plenty to discover in each book, and both parts can be read independently.

All work on the books is done on a voluntary basis. Printing costs were covered by donations, so 100% of the proceeds go to benefit the children in Uganda.

Each book costs €12.50. Shipping and packaging are additional (€4.00 for 1 – 2 books, €6.50 for 3 – 4 books). You can order the book via info@helpforasmile.de – and if you have any questions, feel free to get in touch.
