Newsletter II in 2016 from ‘Help for a smile e.V.’
There is much joy to share regarding the latest news from the association!
1.) Ines and Ralf are full of anticipation, as they will be visiting our supported children and Irene in Uganda this August. They will spend a week with them, and we are very excited for their photos and stories! If you would like to send items for the kids, please feel free to contact us by the end of July! The kids love balls, air pumps, balloons, soap bubbles, pens/pencils, card games, jump ropes, and clothing for children aged 7–17 (gladly used; it doesn’t have to be new). And very importantly: HAND-drawn pictures and personal PHOTOS—the children absolutely love them!
2.) Our big thanks go out once again to GLOBETROTTER, who donated many items of clothing for the children. The first items will be delivered personally by Ines and Ralf, and an additional package will be sent at Christmas. We would also like to thank Margit M. for a fantastic fundraising campaign. For her 50th birthday, she collected donations for Help for a Smile, among others, and an incredible sum of over 1,400 Euro was raised. A heartfelt THANK YOU!
3.) Via the platform “betterplace.org,” we are collecting donations for the children’s beds to be set up in the newly built house in the village near Mbale. So far, €790 has been donated! Amazing!
