Children’s books Charly I and II – order now for Christmas!

Our Charly books are a wonderful Christmas gift idea!

These children’s books introduce kids in Germany to the lives of children in Africa in a playful, cheerful, and educational way.

In Part I, little stork Charly sets off for Africa in autumn and lands on the thatched roof of a hut in Mbale, Uganda, in East Africa. There, our children discover him, and Charly spends a whole day with them. In Part II, Charly visits Stork Favour, Amon, and all the other children in Uganda. His friend Luna Langbein joins him on his journey. Together, they meet new friends, learn how to make their own footballs and skipping ropes, and discover Uganda’s wildlife.

The children’s books, created in support of our project in Uganda, include photos and illustrations of the local children and young people and are suitable for children aged four to eight. Each book offers plenty to explore, and both parts can be read independently.

All work on the books is done on a voluntary basis. Printing costs were covered by donations, so 100% of the proceeds go directly to the children in Uganda.
